The Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst will support the company's strategic growth through identifying, analyzing, and executing mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. The role involves financial modeling, market research, due diligence, and the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate potential opportunities, assess financial impacts, and provide insights to facilitate decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets and industry trends.
- Analyze financial statements, projections, and valuations of target companies.
- Prepare detailed financial models to assess the impact of potential transactions on the company’s performance.
- Assist in comprehensive due diligence processes, including operational, financial, and legal aspects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, financial, and operational teams, to ensure thorough evaluation of deals.
- Support the M&A team in deal negotiations, including preparing presentations, data analysis, and offer documents.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial models and analysis.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) post-merger to evaluate the success of the acquisition
- Prepare investment memoranda, pitch decks, and reports for senior management, board members, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain transaction documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with corporate finance, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and smooth integration of acquisitions.
- Maintain relationships with external advisors, such as investment banks, consultants, and legal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or CFA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
